Good grief - we just can't seem to get the exact "mix" of chemo he needs...
In the meantime, it's lots of hand washing, and trying to keep him away from anyone who is sick (yah, right...)
So, the plan is to continue ahead with Steroids this week, and then check counts again in two weeks. From there, the doctors will determine whether to adjust his dosage again or "stay the course".
Speaking (or typing) of Steroids, they have hit hard in this house already. Only 4 more days to go...
We can do it - right?

ReplyDeleteYes, you can do it! It seems like such a frustrating balancing act, and I'm sorry it's not more cut-and-dry. I know we "science types" like it when things make more sense and follow some kind of predictable order. You are doing an amazing job of going with the flow, giving Alex what he needs when he needs it, able to make changes when challenges arise. So it's not just that "you can do it"...you already ARE doing it! You're a great mom and a great advocate for your son. And Alex is one incredible kid.
