Make-A-Wish

Today, Alex will be interviewed by our local TV station at 4:45 pm (KATU - channel 2), to help promote Make-A-Wish Miles for Smiles campaign.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation is asking for donated airline miles. Seventy-five percent of all wishes start with "I wish to go to...". These airline miles help make our children's wishes come true.

We are flying to Disney World for Alex's Make-A-Wish later this month. We know that this was made possible by the generous donations of people just like you.

If you cannot watch our interview live, please consider clicking HERE to donate any unused airline miles to Make-A-Wish.

Alex talks about his upcoming trip so often, I am so excited for him, and so grateful for Make-A-Wish for making it happen!

  3. I missed it. ;O(
I was driving home and my mom called to say she just turned on the TV and saw the three of you. I am hoping they replay it.
Also, that is so awesome that they are asking for miles to be donated. My mom said the last she heard it was around 2mil?

  4. So sweet. For those of you who don't live in Portland, Eric carried Alex out on the set for the interview, with Alex holding tight to his pumpkin that he had picked on the school field trip to the pumpkin patch today. Eric spoke first about Alex's diagnosi (and he looked great in his new suit!). Then Sara spoke about the trip being a great thing to provide normalcy to their lives. While they both spoke, the TV crew showed Alex's recent pictures when he had no hair: Alex in the tie-dyed shirt, at the wedding, and other really cute photos. The entire interview only lasted a few minutes, but Sara said the set was really interesting and that everyone there was really friendly.

Eric attempted to record the interview directly to his computer. Haven't heard yet if it worked, but I'm sure if it did, Sara will provide a link.
